SOLARIZATION OF THE SCHOOL COMPOUND
“LET THERE BE LIGHT”
The Golden Jubilee Project of the ACHSOSA Class of ’76 is the solarization of the school compound, undertaken under the powerful theme:
“LET THERE BE LIGHT.”
The project represents the centrepiece of the Class of ’76 Golden Jubilee celebration and carries both practical and symbolic significance.
Solar energy provides an opportunity to improve lighting within the school environment while supporting a more sustainable approach to energy use.
Lighting the School Environment
A well-lit school environment can contribute to safety, visibility and the overall appearance of the school premises.
The solarization project seeks to provide dependable lighting infrastructure around the school compound, helping to illuminate areas that would otherwise be poorly lit after sunset.
The project is particularly significant because it goes beyond beautification. It is an investment in the functionality and security of the school environment.
A Sustainable Vision
Solar energy is increasingly recognised as an important alternative source of power.
By choosing solarization as its Golden Jubilee project, ACHSOSA Class of ’76 is embracing a solution that reflects the changing energy landscape while contributing to a more sustainable future.
The project also sends an important message to current students:
The future requires innovation, sustainability and responsible leadership.
“LET THERE BE LIGHT”
The theme of the Golden Jubilee project carries a deeper meaning.
After graduating in 1976, the members of the Class of ’76 are returning five decades later to bring light to the institution that once prepared them for their journeys.
The symbolism is powerful.
They received knowledge from the school.
They received opportunities.
They built careers and families.
And now, they are returning to contribute to the next generation.
Let there be light—not only in the school compound, but also in the lives of the students who pass through its gates.
Commissioning of the Golden Jubilee Project
The Golden Jubilee Solarization Project is to be commissioned by:
HRH, OBA ISMAIL YAHYA ALEBIOSU
OLUPO OF AJASE-IPO
The commissioning will further underscore the importance of the project to the school and the wider Ajase-Ipo community.
The occasion is also supported by other eminent personalities, whose presence and contributions add significance to this historic celebration.
A Gift to the Next Generation
The solarization project is ultimately about the future.
Every light installed represents more than illumination. It represents hope, possibility and the responsibility of one generation to make things better for another.
For the Class of ’76, the Golden Jubilee is therefore not simply a commemoration of 1976–2026.
It is a declaration that their connection to the school continues.
